Louison Bobet climb (5,9 km)
From Cissone to Bossolaschetto
In Serravalle turn to the right towards Dogliani; pass the village of Cissone, then follow the downhill road to the valley and turn left towards the hamlet of Masserie. Cross a bridge, then you will see an oak tree: the ‘Louison Bobet’ climb starts here. Along the road you will also find a church with a drinking fountain. The beginning of the climb is pretty hard, and it is made up of alternating straight stretches and hairpin bends; it also passes by a group of houses. There is a very hard passage near the crossroads to the hamlet of ‘Case Nuove’; turn left, and the gradient becomes milder, while the road follows the hillcrest. The gentle slope is quite pleasant, and you can try long gears. Along the way you will find chestnut-t
rees and bee-hives (honey is produced here) in the first part, while in the second stretch the view opens up over the surrounding fields and the valley. The climb ends with a spurt for the line in the hamlet of Finazzi, at the crossroads of the provincial road leading from Alba to Bossolasco
